Summer Reading
Remember those last few weeks of school before summer vacation? The excitement long days and hot sun and endless possibilities? And in the background, we could hear the faint buzz of our teachers harping on us to keep reading over the summer? This advice still applies to us! The days don't seem as endless anymore, but nothing says summer to me like a stack of books and a few extra hours to dive into them. If you're looking for something to dip into before we start our summer reading for book club, consider Barbara Dahl's suggestion of Hands of my Father, the story of a deaf father who raised hearing children. It is non-fiction, 306.874 Uhl. It looks like a facinating book. Even though the voting is over, still send suggestions for things you think we'd like to read this summer!
